Migration Program planning levels for 2024-2035 financial year

On 14 May 2024, the Australian Government announced that the planning levels for the 2024–25 permanent Migration Program (Migration Program) will be set at 185,000 places, with the Skill Stream allocated 132,200 visas.

Skilled Independent visa numbers are significantly decreased to 16,900.

Employer Sponsored visa places are increased to 44,000.

State/Territory Nominated visa places are increased to 33,000.
